I woke up this morning feeling sick, so I got out of bed to
tell my maid that I would not be going to school today and then I went back to
sleep. At about 9am I got out of bed for the second time to go to the bathroom
and eat breakfast. Now, I was feeling very sick. I could barely swallow
breakfast before I had to run to the bathroom again. I took medicine and Advil
to make the pain go away but I still felt nasty. I took a hot shower in the
hopes that it would make me feel a little better... it did. The medicine finally
kicked in and I was able to go back to sleep at about 10:30am. I woke up a 3pm
feeling sick again. I ate bread for lunch because I couldn't eat anything else.
My maid noticed that I was barely eating so she brought soup up to my room. It
looked and tasted exactly like gravy and it was delicious. I ate all of it and
started looking at colleges. The rest of the day was spent looking at colleges,
making decisions and doing applications. I might just decide to go crazy and
live the rest of my life in a padded cell because college will be the death of
me. The websites are confusing, the applications ask for tons of information
that I do not have and I just can't tell the difference between a 'good' school
a 'great' school and a 'bad' school. Every website has different rankings and
different statistics. The college search did not make me feel any better. I had
peanut butter and a banana for dinner, worked on my applications some more and
then tried to go to bed. At about 9pm I felt my first earthquake. It was very
tiny but I am very glad I wasn't standing up. It still scared me a little. I
finally fell asleep thinking about colleges and deadlines and a thousand other
things.

As painful as today was, I made some decisions and started the
long process of college applications. I am happy to get some of the decisions
behind me and start acting.
Do you think it was the gutter water that made you sick? Maybe you should have dumped the avocado juice after all. :) I hope there are some colleges in California on your list. I hear Sacramento State is a good one. :) Just don't tell your dad that it was my idea for him to pay out of state tuition.
